Happy Birthday Jaxon

Jaxon turned five years old on Sunday, October 26. I can't believe that my baby is five. We had a fun weekend celebrating his birthday. On Saturday he invited five of his friends to a birthday party. We decided that since he has a lot of toys already to have his friends bring a can of food instead. We filled up his trick or treat bag with all of the cans of food--his friends sure did deliver, he collected 26 cans of food. He is excited to drop them off at the Cache Valley Food Pantry this week. It was awesome--he is so excited to share. On Sunday it was our primary program. It was wonderful. After the program Jaxon's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins came to celebrate. For his birthday Daniel made him a pirate bed. His room is coming together. He loves his bed! He is an amazing little boy! Here is my "top ten" for Jax:
1. When he was born he weighed 9 lbs. 9 oz.
2. Even though he was a BIG baby he had to spend some time in the NICU because he was born with a fever of 104 and a collapsed lung.
3. He loves to sleep in socks!
4. When he grows up he wants to be Batman and a chef
5. He loves to read books and work on puzzles, lately his favorite thing to do are mazes
6. He loves his daddy to sing him bedtime songs
7. He has an infectious giggle
8. He has been the cause of "riots" at his preschool because all the girls want to sit by him--he has had a few marriage proposals
9. He has excellent rhythm
10. He has a photographic memory--he doesn't forget anything

I love the food bank idea for a birthday party, way to teach your child to have Emotional Intelligence Nat! A great learning experience for any child.
